We’re back at Navy Pier on Sunday, September 23rd for the Chicago World Music Fest, joined by our friends Mark Ford and Typhanie Monique on vocals! This was a great time last year, and we’re looking forward to more gettin down by the lake!
Come on down wednesday night to the Northcenter Summer Concert series! Grab some burgers and beers and shake your booty to two sets provided courtesy of The Opposition Party!
This Saturday, the OP will be playing the fabulous Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest in Rogers Park. We’ll be at the Main Stage, starting at 6 pm, so come a bit early, grab some food and beverages, and check out some of the artist booths before our set. Joining us for this gig will be special guests Victor Garcia on trumpet and Chris Paquette on percussion.

We’ll be playing this Thursday in Grant Park for the SummerDance festival, paired with Senegalese dance instructor Idy Ciss! Dance class will start at 6 pm, and we’ll play two sets following, joined by guest vocalists Mark Ford and Typhanie Monique.
Thanks to all the folks who came out to Martyrs and The Whistler in May, especially you booty shakers at The Whistler, you know who you are! The OP is going on hiatus in June so our keyboard player can complete a procreating that was started almost 9 months ago, but we’ll be back in July and August, with these dates, add em to your calendars:
